Its a frightened hairy thing! It is often seen in the Autumn especially by Kiwi expats in Belgium.

Other meanings? Racing around in ever diminishing tight circles only to disappear with a "puff" up their own jacksee!

Melee is a word of French origin hence the jacksee connotation.

Another expalnation is from the Chinese man called Lee who is reported to have said Me Lee.
